How to install AED Pads in Zoll AED 3 Defibrillator
Step 1: Tear open the packaging of the CPR-D-padz® electrode pads, ensuring they are ready for immediate use.
Step 2: Remove the backing from the electrode pads to expose the adhesive, being careful not to touch the sticky surface.
Step 3: Place the large, pre-connected pad on the victim’s bare chest—position the top section under the right collarbone and the bottom section on the left side, below the rib cage.
Step 4: The CPR-D-padz® are pre-connected, but if disconnected, plug the pad connector into the AED. The Zoll AED 3 will automatically detect the pads.
Step 5: Once the pads are in place, follow the audio and visual prompts provided by the AED for further guidance, including CPR instructions if needed.

How to install AED Battery in Zoll AED 3 Defibrillator
Step 1: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the AED and open it by unscrewing the cover.
Step 2: Insert the 10 disposable lithium 123A batteries, making sure the positive (+) and negative (-) ends match the markings inside the compartment.
Step 3: Verify that all batteries are properly oriented, as incorrect placement may prevent the AED from functioning.
Step 4: Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screws to secure it in place.
Step 5: Turn on the AED to check that the batteries are working. The device will perform a self-check, and the status indicator should confirm it is ready for use.
